Mr. Cleeland is the Managing Partner of the Orange County Office. He is a member of the Product Liability and Tort Litigation, Professional Liability, Commercial Litigation and Trial practice groups. He has had significant trial experience in State and Federal Courts having answered ready for trial on more than 175 occasions. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Trials have ranged from fine art to haute couture, from commercial disputes to product liability, from micro electronics to industrial energy transmission. Mr. Cleeland has prosecuted and defended claims of software ownership, copyright infringement, trade secrets, breach of contract, sales of businesses, employment claims, professional liability, mobile home residency law claims, personal injury and cataclysmic events. Mr. Cleeland's emphasis is upon problem resolution which may occur at any stage from pre-litigation through verdict.
Mr. Cleeland has presented programs for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) and other professional organizations and institutions. He is a chair of the Orange County Bar Association Education Committee. Mr. Cleeland also sits on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Mr. Cleeland is a judge pro tem for the Orange County Superior Court and a member of the Arbitration Panel for the County of Orange.
