Mr. Osterberg is the Riverside Office Managing Partner. His practice is concentrated on the defense of civil lawsuits brought against both private and public entities. Mr. Osterberg defends private entities against claims arising from property, casualty and commercial losses based upon theories of product liability, premises liability, professional errors and omissions, employment discrimination and wrongful termination. Mr. Osterberg specializes in representing public entities and their employees in matters arising out of the California Tort Claims Act or the Federal Civil Rights Act. Recently, Mr. Osterberg has handled a number of cases involving claims of paramedic gross negligence.
Prior to practicing law, he worked for eight years as a police officer for the Township of Fairfield, New Jersey, and the City of Pasadena, California.
Mr. Osterberg earned his B.A. from William Patterson University in 1978 and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1988. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States District Court, the Federal Bar Association, and the Riverside and San Bernardino Bar Associations. He is also an active member of the Defense Research Institute.
