Ms. Salmacia is a Partner in the Professional Liability and Product Liability & Tort Litigation Practice Group. Located in the Orange County Office, Ms. Salmacia has over 30 years of experience specializing in the defense of complex medical malpractice litigation, defending hospitals, physicians and related healthcare providers as well as drug-related injuries, medical equipment, appliances and implants cases, and a broad range of healthcare-related matters.
Ms. Salmacia is a frequent lecturer for the Rutter Group in continuing legal education seminars, as well as seminars for various healthcare provider organizations, regional emergency medicine organizations and local hospital staffs. She has been lead trial counsel on major injury cases filed in Illinois, Nevada and Washington State.
Ms. Salmacia earned her B.A. from Occidental College in 1967 and her J.D. from Glendale College of Law in 1976. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers. Ms. Salmacia served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel from 1996-1997. She is an advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, serving as the President of the Orange County Chapter in 2001 and a representative of the National Board from 1999-2002. In addition, she has been named as one of the top 30 Women Litigators in California featured in the June 2002 and 2003 articles published by the Daily Journal.
