Mr. Stouder is the lead partner in the Product Liability & Tort Litigation Practice Group. He is also a member of HB&B’s Executive Committee. His practice is concentrated in the defense of corporate and insurance based clients, primarily in the areas of product liability, real estate litigation, premises liability, construction defect, and vehicular accidents. He has experience in actions concerning real estate encroachments, landslides, noise nuisance and water pollution. He also represents corporate clients in matters related to discrimination, employment and quasi-criminal issues.
Mr. Stouder has served as lead counsel in numerous trials. He has successfully brought motions for summary judgment in a variety of practice areas and also has extensive involvement in dispute resolution via arbitration, mediation and settlement conference.
Mr. Stouder is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) and is the Chairman of its Product Liability Substantive Law Committee. He is also a member of the American Law Firm Association (ALFA International) and is on the Steering Committee of the Retail Practice Group. Mr. Stouder has given presentations at seminars for both ASCDC and ALFA International. He has also been a guest speaker for corporate clients, industry groups and continuing legal education providers with respect to substantive, procedural and strategic issues.
Mr. Stouder obtained his B.S. from Indiana University in 1987 and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Indiana. He is also admitted to practice in Central District of the United States District Court as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
