Jeffrey Vinnick is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of HB&B. Mr. Vinnick’s practice is concentrated in mass tort litigation involving medical monitoring claims claiming acute and prolonged exposure to benzene, hydrogen sulfide, and other chemicals, brought by employees who work at oil refineries and residents who live and work near oil refineries. He works closely with forensic experts on issues including air modeling, evaporation models, soil testing and control room operations. Mr. Vinnick has taken the deposition of dozens of individuals claiming physical harm from exposure to the volatile components of crude oil and other substances.
Mr. Vinnick also represents franchisors and petroleum dealers in cases involving trade name and mark disputes; encroachment; termination and eminent domain. He also represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control both at the administrative and appellate levels.
Mr. Vinnick earned his B.A. from University of California at Los Angeles in 1983 and his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1988. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the International Franchise Association.
