Bradford G. Hughes

Biographical Information

Mr. Hughes is an Associate in Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Los Angeles office.  He is a member of the Products Liability, Trucking & Transportation and Business Solutions Practice Groups and represents growing companies in both transactional and litigation matters, at trial and on appeal.

He brings a wealth of experience to catastrophic personal injury actions arising out of trucking and transportation accidents, and has specialized experience with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.  Mr. Hughes developed materials for use by the transportation industry outlining the obligations of motor carriers in their capacity as employers after a catastrophic accident.

Mr. Hughes’ experience also includes handling breach of contract actions for both plaintiffs and defendants, which gives him a unique perspective and approach to resolving business disputes.  He has represented clients in cases involving the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, non-solicitation clauses and non-compete agreements, particularly in the employment context.

Additionally, Mr. Hughes routinely handles matters for the firm’s clients ranging from responses to third party subpoenas demanding documents or testimony to small claims court trials.

Representative Experience:

Prior to joining Haight Brown & Bonesteel, Mr. Hughes worked in an Orange County litigation firm with an emphasis on the defense of local governments.  Mr. Hughes also served as a law clerk to President George W. Bush’s Legal Team in Wisconsin during the 2004 Presidential Election, ensuring that all registered Wisconsin voters were given the opportunity to vote.
