Andrew D. White
Biographical Information
Mr. White is a Senior Associate in Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Orange County Office. He is a member of the Construction Law and Product Liability & Tort Practice Groups. His practice focuses on construction defect litigation, premises liability, product liability, personal injury, and civil litigation.
Mr. White has experience conducting depositions, mediations, and mandatory settlement conferences; drafting motions for summary judgment, demurrers, motions to strike, motions to compel and ex parte applications; planning and preparing discovery strategy, requests and responses; performing site inspections; drafting motions in limine and trial briefs.
Representative Experience:
- Assisted in obtaining a defense verdict at trial, and a judgment awarding costs, for a sewer line videographer from negligence and trespass claims of a store owner after a pipe burst underneath the store causing extensive damage to the store and its contents
- Successfully defended the rough framer of a luxury apartment complex in Hancock Park, California, from a complex multi-million dollar construction defect lawsuit. Settled for substantially less than the initial demand despite significant deficiencies in the framing
- Summary judgment granted for a company manufacturing automatic sliding glass doors installed in a V.A. hospital from claims made by a man injured when he fell exiting the hospital
- Successfully transferred venue of a matter filed against a client in California to a court of competent jurisdiction in Illinois based on forum non conveniens when all parties, evidence and subject property located in Illinois
- Quashed service of complaint in California to a Japanese manufacturing company based on California court’s lack of personal jurisdiction over Japanese company
