Chandra L. Moore

Chandra Moore is a Partner in the Employment/ Labor Law Practice Group and is located in the San Diego office.  In the area of employment/labor law, she has represented both companies and employees in litigation and dispute resolution.  She has effectively represented clients on a wide range of employment issues including harassment, discrimination, Family and Medical Leave and Family Rights Acts, Americans with Disabilities Act, wage and hour matters.  She has drafted employment agreements and updated employee handbooks/manuals.  Ms. Moore has experience in all phases of employment litigation, and has represented employers and employees in administrative procedures (including appellate level) and civil court.

Ms. Moore also has experience in the areas of premises and products liability, construction defect litigation, mass tort litigation and insurance law.  She has jury trial experience as lead counsel and has successfully written and argued dispositive motions such as motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment and motions to strike allegations in complaints.  Nevertheless, Ms. Moore is constantly striving to resolve cases in the most cost effective manner for her clients.  In that regard, she has extensive involvement in dispute resolution via arbitration, mediation and settlement conferences.

In 2008, Ms. Moore presented “Defendant's Challenges And Responses To Complaint” to HB&B’s Employment/Labor Law practice group attorneys.  This discussion included forum selection, challenging jurisdiction, state and federal court procedure, exhausting administrative remedies, workers’ compensation as exclusive remedy, arbitration clauses, statute of limitations, collateral estoppel and res judicata, demurrers, motions for summary judgment, answers and affirmative defenses.  In 2007, she conducted and led a continuing legal education class entitled “Lessons Learned from Trial.”  Additionally, Ms. Moore graduated from HB&B’s “Advanced Trial Skills” Course in 2004.
