Ms. Trent is an attorney in Haight Brown & Bonesteel's Los Angeles office. She is a member of the Risk Management & Insurance Law, Product Liability and Transportation Law Practice Groups. Her primary practice involves the analysis of insurance coverage issues and representing primary and excess insurers in litigation, non-litigation and regulatory matters. Ms. Trent issues coverage opinions on insurance issues arising under primary and excess insurance policies. She also works on cases for the Product Liability and Tort and the Trucking and Transportation Practice Groups.
Ms. Trent is involved in all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, and law and motion, including motions for summary judgment and pre-trial preparation.
While in law school, Ms. Trent gained valuable experience in the criminal law field while interning with the Saint Louis County Public Defender. She was involved in all stages of the criminal justice process, from arraignment to trial. As a third year law student participating in the Criminal Justice Clinic, she second-chaired a sexual assault trial resulting in a not guilty verdict. Ms. Trent was a law clerk at Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Los Angeles office after her second year in law school. She joined the firm as an associate following graduation and passing the California Bar Exam.
