Ms. Gerlitz is an attorney in Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Los Angeles office. She is a member of the Risk Management & Insurance Law Practice Group. Her practice specializes in insurance coverage and litigation handling complex insurance coverage matters including providing coverage opinions and defending extracontractual claims, contribution and subrogation actions. She has insurance coverage and litigation experience in the areas of construction defect, general liability, homeowners, residential mold and other toxic exposures, commercial trucking, auto, cargo and garage keepers liability.
Prior to joining Haight Brown & Bonesteel, Ms. Gerlitz worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years, including a position as Assistant Vice President at Condor Insurance Company and Far West Insurance Company, handling a diverse caseload including transportation and trucking litigation, general liability, construction defect and multi-line coverage issues and reinsurance recoveries. In addition, she drafted manuscript policy forms and prepared several filings under specialty niche programs, including boating. Her experience in the insurance industry gives her a unique insight into serving the needs of insurance clients and allows her to provide clients with comprehensive, creative and cost-effective solutions.
