Ms. Alexander is an attorney in Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Orange County office. She is a member of the Product Liability, Employment & Labor and Elder Care Practice Groups.

Ms. Alexander represents international and domestic manufacturers, distributors and retailers in all facets of product liability litigation. Representative industries include industrial baking equipment, temperature controllers, component manufacturers of large refrigeration/cooling systems, compressors, recreational vehicles, sliding automatic doors and gates, specialty sublimation inks and generators. As a subset of products liability litigation, Ms. Alexander also has experience in successfully handling consumer fraud and consumer warranty claims.

In addition to handling large product liability claims, Ms. Alexander manages asbestos product liability litigation nationwide for manufacturers of industrial ovens, chemical mixers, printing presses and homogenizers.

Through her involvement in the Employment & Labor Practice Group, Ms. Alexander has handled employment claims on behalf of large corporations and governmental entities. Her experience encompasses class action wage and hour, claims of race and age discrimination, wrongful termination and retaliation. Ms. Alexander also actively participates in in-house seminars and the development of publications concerning trends and developments in California Employment law.

As part of the Elder Care Practice Group, Ms. Alexander represents skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly (RCFE) and independent living facilities throughout California. Her representative experience includes the defense of claims of wrongful death, elder abuse, fraud and misrepresentation and breach of contract.

Prior to joining Haight, Ms. Alexander represented subcontractors, general contractors and developers in complex construction defect litigation, in addition to high exposure products liability litigation. At Haight, Ms. Alexander has built upon her experience in handling construction defect litigation through representation of general contractors and subcontractors in construction job site injury claims.

The initial focus for Ms. Alexander in handling any matter is to complete an early evaluation to determine the potential for disposing of the claim through a dismissal, dispositive motion or risk transfer. Ms. Alexander has been successful in achieving such a result in numerous matters over the course of her career. For those cases where it is impossible for early resolution or disposition, Ms. Alexander develops and implements an aggressive case strategy while ensuring it is handled in an economically efficient manner.
