Mr. Shine is an Associate in Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s San Francisco office. He is a member of the Construction Law, Environmental Law & Toxic Tort, and Professional Liability Practice Groups and is involved in all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including initial case evaluation, research, discovery, law and motion, and pre-trial preparation.
Mr. Shine has defended developers, general contractors and subcontractors at all stages of litigation in construction cases involving contractor liability and indemnity disputes. He has also researched and drafted dispositive motions, briefs, ex parte applications and motions-in-limine on behalf of small and large corporations as well as individual professional liability defendants.
Prior to joining Haight Brown & Bonesteel, Mr. Shine practiced complex business transactions and litigation as an associate at a boutique Northern California business law firm. He also clerked at a highly respected plaintiff’s litigation firm where he was heavily involved in law and motion and pre-trial preparation. While Mr. Shine was a summer clerk for a Southern California business law firm, he drafted agreements, real estate transactions, demand letters and various pleadings.
