Associate Attorney
The Los Angeles office of Haight Brown & Bonesteel is seeking an associate attorney with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Transportation Law/Personal Injury and Product Liability litigation. Must have significant experience taking and defending depositions and performing all aspects of discovery in personal injury matters. Experience in attending mediations and strong writing, research and analytical skills are a must. Please submit to , a cover letter, resume, and writing samples. SAN FRANCISCO

Litigation Paralegal
Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP has an opening a litigation paralegal in its San Francisco office. The Ideal candidate is a self-starter who is dedicated, efficient and an independent thinker, who excels when working in a team-oriented environment.

We will consider candidates with a certificate of completion from a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association and/or at least 3 years experience as a Litigation Paralegal in the State of California with attorney references stating that the candidate is well qualified to perform paralegal tasks. A strong understanding and working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure is required as well as the ability to perform legal research; conduct asset searches and basic investigation; draft and issue subpoenas; and draft, summarize and index discovery and documents. Candidates should also have experience scanning, coding, uploading, storing and printing of documents, as well as developing and implementing databases to manage, sort, index, analyze and summarize large volumes of data. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Summation; Concordance; and Trial Director.

Education and Experience
  • bachelors degree, associates degree or certification in paralegal studies from an accredited institution
  • paralegal certification from a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association
  • 3+ years experience as a litigation paralegal
  • thorough knowledge of legal terminology, key discovery statutes, principles and procedures

  • organize documents and coordinate document productions

  • prepare filings and exhibits for motions 
  • court filings and service on other parties 
  • act as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside agencies 
  • prepare for and attend trials
