Casey Otis is a member of the General Liability, Business Solutions, and Real Estate practice groups. He began working at Haight Brown & Bonesteel in the summer of 2016 and continued as a law clerk throughout his time in law school. His areas of concentration include the defense of wide-ranging general liability matters involving personal injury, premises liability, habitability disputes, business litigation, construction defect, contracts, and real estate matters. Casey has an extensive background in all aspects of state and federal court litigation including pre-trial law and motion, depositions, written discovery, and trial preparation.
Prior to attending law school, Casey attended UCLA where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Environmental Studies. Thereafter, he moved to the beaches of San Diego to attend law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2018.
In law school, Casey interned at the USD Entrepreneurship Clinic where he worked closely with start-up companies and small businesses and assisted with drafting and filing corporate formation documents and related contracts. He received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Contract Drafting, and Community Property.
Outside of the practice of law, Casey is an avid sports fan who enjoys participating in recreational softball leagues, watching UCLA Athletics, and rooting for the New York Yankees thanks to his family’s East Coast roots.
