Jonna Lothyan is a member of the firm’s Construction Law, Business Solutions, General Liability and Product Liability Practice Groups. She focuses on defending cases related to construction law, business litigation, premises liability, general liability, motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death and product liability.
Jonna’s clients include contractors, subcontractors, insurance companies, vehicle manufacturers, national and regional retailers and hospitality companies, and other businesses and individuals. Her business litigation background covers trade secret, unfair competition, contractual disputes, shareholder derivative actions and intellectual property.
Prior to joining Haight, Jonna worked at a Southern California civil defense firm where she defended clients in matters involving business litigation, employment, breach of contract, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, professional liability, environmental and land use law, coverage analysis, bad faith and inverse condemnation.
Jonna is an accomplished litigator and handles matters throughout state and federal courts during all phases of case handling, including pre-litigation evaluation, investigation and discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and trial. Jonna has taken and defended hundreds of depositions including expert witnesses in scientific, construction and medical fields. She also obtained favorable results as first and second chair in several jury trials. Post-trial, she has successfully appealed and managed appellate cases in all California Courts of Appeal, Ninth Circuit and the California Supreme Court.
Jonna is an Outreach Coordinator with the Lawyers Club Anti-Human Trafficking Committee.
Jonna is a military wife and mother of two. She enjoys spending most of her free time outdoors with her family hiking, at the beach or playing with her kids.
