Josh Maltzer is a seasoned civil litigator and member of the firm’s Construction Law, General Liability, and Risk Management & Insurance Law Practice Groups.
For more than 10 years, Mr. Maltzer has litigated high-stakes construction defect, insurance coverage, commercial business disputes and product liability matters in state and federal courts throughout California and in Arizona, Washington, and Wyoming. Josh has successfully represented contractors, business owners, property managers, developers, real estate purchasers and public housing agencies in all phases of dispute resolution – from pre-litigation mediation through arbitration or trial – resulting in millions of dollars in insurance recoveries, judgments and settlements for his clients. Josh has also secured complete defense victories and advantageous settlements for his clients in complex business, construction, and real estate matters. Based on his experience representing parties on both the plaintiff and defense side, Mr. Maltzer brings unique insight to evaluating problems and advising clients on effective, big-picture solutions.
Prior to his career in law, Mr. Maltzer served in AmeriCorps and managed disaster relief and prevention teams in Florida and Guatemala, with a focus on preventing water intrusion into residential structures, coordinating flood remediation and repair, and navigating insurance claims on behalf of homeowners. Josh brings the same dedication and determination to his legal work and delivers exceptional results for his clients.
Outside the office, Josh enjoys playing golf, skiing, hiking with his family, and trying to teach his daughter how to putt.
