Ms. Kilmer is a member of the Public Entity and General Liability practice groups. Her time at Haight Brown & Bonesteel began in 2017, when she worked as a summer associate while pursuing joint degrees at Pepperdine University School of Law. Her experience includes authoring dispositive motions, propounding and responding to discovery, and preparing for trial in federal and state courts. Ms. Kilmer defends public entities and national retailers against claims involving civil rights violations, employment discrimination, and personal injury.

Prior to joining Haight Brown & Bonesteel, Ms. Kilmer externed for the Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Her time in chambers was spent drafting civil judicial orders and conducting extensive legal research on a variety of civil law issues, including federal civil rights claims, labor and employment disputes, and writs of habeas corpus.

At Pepperdine University School of Law, Ms. Kilmer acquired both her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. She was a member of Pepperdine Law Review, serving as the Lead Articles Editor during her third year.
