Matthew Marcoly is a member of the firm’s Business Solutions, General Liability and Transportation Law Practice Groups. His practice focuses primarily on defending personal injury claims, trucking & transportation law and commercial litigation.
Mr. Marcoly’s clients include trucking and transportation companies, retail and hospitality businesses, Fortune 500 companies, individuals and other businesses.
He engages in all phases of litigation including legal research, drafting law and motion, propounding and responding to discovery and preparing for depositions and settlement conferences.
Mr. Marcoly joined Haight Brown & Bonesteel in 2019 as a summer associate and continued as a law clerk during his last year in law school. He graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Before graduating from University of California, Irvine School of Law in 2020, Mr. Marcoly studied in theĀ International Justice Clinic under the then-United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Promotion and Protection of the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression. His work included monitoring freedom of expression trends and abuses worldwide and contributing to the 2019 report to the UN Human Rights Council on the regulation of the public-private collaboration in the sale and use of surveillance technologies.
