Mr. Bague is a Partner in Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Los Angeles office. He is a member of the Risk Management & Insurance Law, Construction Law and Food Safety Practice Groups. Mr. Bague regularly advises his clients with regard to insurance issues arising under virtually all lines of insurance, including: commercial, general liability and property, professional liability, auto, homeowners, environmental/pollution, workers compensation, life, health and disability.
He represents primary and excess insurers and reinsurers, insureds, and brokers and agents in insurance coverage litigation, as well as in first and third party extra-contractual litigation. Mr. Bague also regularly provides written coverage opinions, has drafted insuring language for policies and self-insurance trusts, has coordinated fraud investigations on behalf of life insurers, and has served as national coverage counsel.
With regard to his construction law practice, Mr. Bague has advised and represented insurers and developers, general contractors and artisan subcontractors in construction defect liability claims litigation and litigation over coverage disputes. He also regularly deals with issues involving contractual and equitable indemnity.
Mr. Bague regularly advises companies in the food industry on issues of risk financing, risk transfer, and management of insurance assets in the context of product liability litigation. He also has experience defending clients in product liability actions and has served as national coordinating counsel.
