Amanda J. McKechnie

Overview

Amanda McKechnie is a member of the firm’s Construction Law Practice Group. With over two decades of experience in civil litigation, Amanda has extensive experience representing national developers, owners, general contractors, design professionals and subcontractors in complex construction litigation. Her significant experience in construction law focuses on defect claims, contract, design, construction, development and compliance and provides a knowledge powerhouse that enhances her overall strategic case management goals and allows her to effectively communicate with her clients and successfully defend them. Her diverse client base has consisted of global retailers, Fortune 500 corporations, regional and local businesses, private individuals and national insurance carriers.

Amanda is admitted to practice in the state of California, California federal jurisdictions (Southern, Central and Eastern), and is an admittee to the United States Supreme Court wherein she was invited and sponsored by Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy (Ret.) for membership.

When Amanda is not working, she enjoys volunteering with various organizations, both locally and internationally, including The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Globe Aware, Unity 4 Orphans and Just Call Us Volunteers. Amanda was born, raised and continues to live in San Diego where you will find her salsa dancing, playing sports, spending quality time with friends and family, or traveling to destinations unknown.
