Program Description
This presentation focused on the 2020 and 2021 decisions in Burchell v. Loma Linda and Flores v. Liu which have redefined the extent that a surgeon may rely upon consent of the patient. The presentation included realistic examples and top down involvement suggestions to assist risk management in informing surgeons of the need to consider the ramifications of unrealistic expectations of informed consent discussions.
