Jeffrey C. Schmid

Overview

Jeffrey Schmid is a member of the firm’s General Liability, Product Liability and Transportation Law Practice Groups. He focuses his practice on defending clients in premises liability, general liability, motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death, product liability, and transportation and trucking cases. His clients include some of the world’s largest insurance companies, regional and local businesses including product manufacturers, retailers, hospitality companies, and trucking companies, and private individuals.

Prior to joining Haight, Jeffrey defended clients in product liability, premises liability, civil rights/ADA violations, professional liability, insurance coverage disputes and bad faith, elder abuse, consumer warranty, and construction defect cases. He has significant expertise with wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, and traumatic brain injury cases.

Jeffrey handles matters throughout state and federal courts in all phases of litigation, including pre-suit evaluation, investigation and discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.

In his free time, Jeffrey’s hobbies and interests include bicycling, hiking, and playing basketball. He also enjoys traveling, gardening, and hanging out with his dog, Archie.
