Suit against law firm which had provided real estate transaction services to wealthy clients who sought to defer taxable gain on sale of prior investment by exchanging into speculative real estate development deal in Rocky Mountains, and later acquired material equity ownership of the underlying property months before Great Recession of 2008; clients sought to impose on attorney all consequences of foreclosure of property by lender when developers went into default. Case resolved favorably prior to arbitration hearing after multi-year arbitration process.
