Natalie Monticello is a member of the firms Transportation Law, Product Liability, Fire Litigation, and General Liability Practice Groups. She primarily focuses on defending personal injury claims arising from trucking and transportation matters, fire related product liability cases, construction defect and various civil litigation matters.
Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, insurance providers, product manufacturers, trucking and transportation companies, as well as individuals and business clients.
Before joining the firm, Natalie gained hands-on experience as a law clerk at multiple firms and was a research assistant while in law school. There, she honed her skills in drafting legal memoranda, interrogatories, attending depositions, and handling discovery. She worked on matters involving fire litigation, civil litigation, tort, real estate, and construction defect.
Ms. Monticello earned a double bachelor’s degree in Communication and Environment & Sustainability from Cornell University. And, earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she received the CEB 2023 First Place Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing. During law school, she was a semifinalist in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, served as a Senior Notes and Comments Editor on the UC Davis Law Review, and was recognized as the 2025 Environmental Leadership Scholar, an honor awarded for her focus in environmental law, science, and wildfire litigation.
Natalie enjoys collaborating with experts and translating complex scientific and technical material into clear, legally actionable insights. She has experience drafting motions for summary judgement, preparing meet and confer letters, working on motions to compel, and attending in-person hearings.
Outside of work she enjoys skiing, playing pickleball, hiking and cheering on the Dodgers.
