Plaintiff, a 56 year old woman underwent a hysteroscopy at defendant’s hospital. Upon completion of the procedure, while still intubated, plaintiff slipped from the operating table and slid onto the floor. Immediate radiological studies revealed no fractures but plaintiff claimed decreased sensation below the waist, generalized weakness and difficulty with walking and stamina. Plaintiff’s husband claimed loss of consortium. The matter was settled at mediation within five months of service of the complaint
