Sean Paden is a member of the firm’s Construction Law and General Liability Practice Groups. He has more than 20 years of experience handling construction defect litigation from pre-litigation analysis and strategy all the way through mediation, discovery, law & motion, depositions and trial.

Clients include developers, contractors, subcontractors, national and regional retailers, Fortune 500 companies and businesses and individuals.

His construction-related experience covers traditional construction defect, mechanics lien foreclosure matters including filing liens and prosecuting complaints, real property disputes particularly for commercial and residential landlords from pleading to trial to eviction, and effectively resolving subrogation claims. He regularly defends issues including analysis of policy language, covered and uncovered damages, exhaustion issues, California insured Guarantee Association claims, excess coverage (including horizontal excess claims), and additional insured claims.

Sean’s personal injury, and general liability experience includes bodily injury claims involving high exposure and catastrophic injuries.

He effectively advances through California’s state and federal courts. He is familiar with all aspects of law and motion, discovery, mediation & negotiation and trial. He has taken and defended depositions of parties, percipient witnesses, corporate representatives and experts.

During his free time, Sean has served on various boards and commissions in his hometown of Fullerton, including the Planning Commission, Design Review Commission and currently the Library Board of Trustees.
