Plaintiff, a 37 year old woman, had plastic surgery with an independent Plastic Surgeon. She developed a post operative infection and was admitted to defendant’s hospital for treatment. Ms. Haskins filed an MSJ supported by the declaration of a well-known General Surgery expert who opined that the standard of care was exceeded by the employees and agents of the hospital. The MSJ was granted and judgment was entered in favor of defendant’s hospital.
